We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address), when uploading images (including any embedded EXIF metadata, which we strip from published images), and when making purchases or rentals (payment information processed by Stripe). We also collect standard server logs including IP addresses and usage data.
2. EXIF Metadata
Uploaded photographs may contain EXIF metadata including GPS coordinates, camera serial numbers, and other identifying information. My Camera Bags automatically strips EXIF metadata from all published images to protect your privacy. Raw EXIF data extracted at upload time may be stored in your account for your own reference but is not publicly displayed.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve the Service, process transactions, send account-related communications, and enforce our policies. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Payment Information
Payment card details are handled exclusively by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
5. Content Moderation
Uploaded images are scanned by automated moderation systems. Images that do not pass moderation are not publicly displayed. Our team may also review flagged content.
6. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
7. Cookies
We use cookies for authentication and to remember your session. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some features may not work correctly.
